Review: Gia Coppola's first film is a winner. Ill admit that I made the mistake I made a few reviews before you in the theater, though a bit flat and seemingly miss that important, but they have to the point that I hit my films planned change to an hour. But when the hour, I could not leave. I was thoroughly engrossed and invested the characters. I wanted to know how things worked for them, and I was not the judge disappointed.Several it is a good first attempt, but it overcomes. That it is not a great result. The fact that it has no plot. Everything is wrong, in my opinion. I havent read James Francois short stories based this film, but I can say that Ms. Coppola does an excellent job of writing a coherent roadmap done with a good storyline and enough plot to clearly show that three of the main characters - April Teddy and Emily - you learn something important enough about their experiences for the better at the end of the film. And the fourth, Fred, is on the way to an epiphany when he long enough to survive to have it. What many have overlooked is that Ms. Coppola got the truth here.Palo Alto accurately captures the teenage angst, how difficult it is to find out things as adults can / lie deceive / manipulate us how we can driven bad decisions, but always feel exactly what to do at this moment. High school is not fun. The thing that we endure. And it can be a feat just to get out of life and be in a better position direction.Its times when I was in high school, and even though this generation is very different than mine, the Human Nature does not change, and the problems have not changed. I recognize every character, every situation, every bad choice, each followed. To speak nothing particularly related to not know what to say so. But most importantly, I credit Ms. Coppola for this, I really care about these characters. I even have empathy for one unsympathetic character. It is good to write (credit Franco Coppola). And she is very good direction if you do not win the main characters of Emma Roberts (a standout), Jack Kilmer, Zoe Levin, Nat Wolff and have a lot of experience. I like to follow directors working, something about life and our feelings is honestly useful. Ill beside me Gia Coppola's work. It is a good movie.
