Review: Dom Hemingway tries to add something new to a great legacy of Guy Ritchie's gangster comedy, and Martin McDonagh, but he tries too hard, and in the end it did not work. Each scene has tried to be a bizarre and shocking than the last, but they are rarely funny. Dialogues want to be witty, and it must taken into account, but really they are just over-the-top curses and insults of the characters. Dom Hemingway (played incredibly Jude Law) is not a hero, but not an anti-hero: hes just a pathetic man who is drunk and high for most of the film. They waited too long to add some dramatic depth of his character.It are some funny moments, but this film is a little too forced to be naturally funny. If you want to see a movie in a similar vein, but better do, I wish you would Filth.
