Review: This is the first English-language film in South Korean director Park Chan-wook. He is most famous for incorrectly intense psychological thriller Oldboy. The American debut at the end of his reign in a bit, but maintained the visual inventiveness, which is also one of the marks. In many ways, Stoker is a modern update of Alfred Hitchcocks Shadow of a Doubt (1943). One of these, this movie is a mysterious uncle to re-emerge in the life of the family after many years of absence. Before long, it becomes quite clear that not all is as it seems this person, and she is actually very dangerous. The main character is a 18-year-old girl called India Stoker played Mia Wasikowska, who recently is not very good, but very popular Alice in Wonderland. He leads a superb film andthe book carries off the character effectively. We also can support the Nicole Kidman as the appearance of mother. The Stoker impressive. The environment is well maintained throughout. If I had a criticism, but ultimately the story is not all that original, and there is not really much of a surprise. What do you do, though, is a relatively common psychological thriller story and make it interesting by cinematic approach. This is not a movie that will break the mold exactly, but it is quite complete, and it is a very good first English-language feature directors.
